Langley, Paul – Politics, The University of York

Paul’s research has contributed to the critical study of financial markets and financialisation in International Political Economy and across a range of disciplines in the social sciences, most notably by exploring how everyday forms of saving and borrowing in the US and UK constitute what we tend to know as ‘global finance’. His research has received funding from the British Academy and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Cultural Economy, a co-editor of and the Routledge/Review of International Political Economy book series, and between 2005 and 2008 served as Convenor of the International Political Economy Group of the British International Studies Association (BISA).
