Από τις διαρροές αλλά και την έρευνα που έγινε, προκύπτει οτι η NSO έχει πελάτες σε 11 χώρες: Το Αζερμπαιτζαν, το Μπαχρέιν, την Ουγγαρία, την Ινδία, το Καζακσταν, το Μεξικό, το Μαρόκο, τη Ρουάντα, τη Σαουδική Αραβία, το Τόγκο και τα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα. Όπως αναφέρει η Διεθνής Αμνηστία, η NSO δεν έλαβε τα κατάλληλα μέτρα για να σταματήσει τη χρήση του λογισμικού παρακολούθησης της κατά ακτιβιστών και δημοσιογράφων, παρά το γεγονός ότι είτε ήξερε είτε θα έπρεπε να γνωρίζει ότι χρησιμοποιείται για τέτοιου είδους σκοπούς. Η λίστα των τηλεφώνων, περιλαμβάνει επίσης άτομα από το στενό περιβάλλον του δολοφονημένο Σαουδάραβα δημοσιογράφου Τζαμάλ Κασόγκι, καθώς και τον Μεξικανό δημοσιογράφο Σεσίλιο Πινέδα Μπίρτο, ο οποίος επίσης δολοφονήθηκε. Για την πρώτη περίπτωση, η εταιρεία αρνήθηκε ότι έχει κάποια σχέση με τη δολοφονία. Η έρευνα μέχρι στιγμής φαίνεται να περιλαμβάνει τουλάχιστον 180 δημοσιογράφους σε 20 χώρες, ως πιθανούς στόχους του λογισμικού κατασκοπείας από το 2016 μέχρι και τον Ιούνιο του 2021. Ωστόσο, σημειώνεται ότι η ύπαρξη των τηλεφώνων στη λίστα δεν σημαίνει απαραίτητα ότι έχουν όλα μολυνθεί από το εν λόγω λογισμικό, αλλά ότι είναι πιθανό να αποτελούσαν στόχοι ενδεχόμενης κατασκοπείας.

Έγγραφα του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών της Μ. Βρετανίας (αγγλιστί Foreign Office, Φόρεϊν Όφις – ελληνιστί γνωστός και ως Οχιά διμούτσουνη), τα οποία έφερε στο φως η ομάδα ανεξάρτητων δημοσιογράφων του Declassified, δείχνουν ότι οι Βρετανοί αποφάσισαν να στηρίξουν το πραξικόπημα και πλήρωσαν ειδικευμένη εταιρία ώστε να «μεγιστοποιήσει την εκμετάλλευση του λιθίου της Βολιβίας», ένα μόλις μήνα μετά την ανατροπή του Μοράλες και παράλληλα «έδρασε ως στρατηγικός εταίρος» των πραξικοπηματιών «οργανώνοντας διεθνή φόρα για τις εξορύξεις» στη χώρα «μόλις ένα τετράμηνο μετά την κατάλυση της δημοκρατίας». Η εταιρία αυτή φαίνεται στα χαρτιά να έχει ιδρυθεί από απόστρατο υψηλόβαθμο Βρετανό στρατιωτικό, ο οποίος «προσφέρει τις υπηρεσίες του σε εταιρίες εξόρυξης» ειδικά. Στο πλαίσιο της δράσης του, η Βρετανική πρεσβεία στη Βολιβία του προσέφερε επιπλέον βοήθεια, πληρώνοντας και φέρνοντας στην χώρα της Λατινικής Αμερικής εταιρία ψηφιακής ασφάλειας (cybersecurity) «με πολύ στενούς δεσμούς με τη CIA». Αξίζει επίσης να σημειωθεί ό,τι η στενή συνεργασία και η χρησιμοποίηση ανθρώπων της CIA είναι εμφανής και καταγράφεται στα συγκεκριμένα έγγραφα.

At a UN Security Council meeting on Monday, October 5 2020, the US, UK, France and allies blocked the testimony of Jose Bustani, the first Director General of the OPCW. The Grayzone has obtained Bustani’s prepared statement and is publishing it in full. Bustani was invited to brief the Security Council on the OPCW’s cover-up of an investigation into an alleged chemical attack in Douma, Syria in April 2018. The US, UK, and France bombed Syria after accusing the Syrian government of dropping toxic gas in Douma. OPCW inspectors later found evidence that undermined the official narrative, but were censored by their superiors under US pressure.

Arguably the most influential eugenicist tract ever penned, Grant’s book reasoned that the growing number of Southern and Eastern European immigrants in the United States meant that the “Nordic stock” of American Protestants was at risk of being outbred and “replaced” — a term that continues to be echoed in our contemporary far right’s fears of “white genocide” and their slogan, “You will not replace us.”^[16]For Grant, the immigrant situation was nothing less than a “world crisis”: he argued that a failure to stem the immigrant tide would spell nothing less than “race suicide” for the Nordics.^[17]Grant chaired the Sub-Committee on Selective Immigration of the Eugenics Committee of the US, whose findings were instrumental in the passage of the Johnson–Reed Immigration Act of 1924, which set immigration quotas based on national origins in proportion to the ethnic mix documented in the 1890 Census. How former Nazi official Reinhard Gehlen erected a state within a state in post-war Germany – World Socialist Web Site

The archive material includes a carefully composed dossier on the lawyer and political scientist Wolfgang Abendroth, who was banned from working as a legal trainee in 1933 due to his socialist leanings. A few years later, Abendroth was sent into a punishment battalion of the Wehrmacht active in the war in Greece. He deserted from the Army and joined the Greek resistance movement.

After the war, he commenced teaching as a lecturer at the University of Leipzig. This was sufficient to place him in the first ranks of Gehlen’s list of “enemies of the state.” Abendroth was surrounded by Gehlen’s agents, who diligently sent their observations and notes to Gehlen, all of which are found in the 100,000 files of his private archive.

An open question is how many other cases of BND persecution and harassment of Nazi opponents, socialists and Trotskyists are to be found in the mountain of files.

Probably the most spectacular discovery in this initial review of the archive material is the evidence that the BND planted an informant and probably a provocateur in the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) at a very early stage. Through the work of his agent, Gehlen was able to observe over many years his most prominent target, SPD leader Willy Brandt, who was foreign minister in the grand coalition (SPD and Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union) from 1966 and in 1969 chancellor of the coalition between the SPD and the Free Democratic Party (FDP). As foreign minister, Brandt was spied upon by his own foreign intelligence service

Eichmann to Testify on Dr. Globke’s Role in Deportation of Greek Jews – Jewish Telegraphic Agency

Dr. Bauer tied the Globke case to Eichmann today as he opened a formal criminal investigation into the accusations being leveled against the Adenauer aide. Dr. Globke, who is State Secretary, and the man who runs Chancellor Adenauer’s office, is being accused of having aided Eichmann in 1943 in the deportation of 10, 000 Jews from Salonika, Greece, to Nazi extermination camps.

“Eichmann’s testimony about the deportation of those 10, 000 Jewish men, women and children from Salonika would very much affect the Globke investigation, ” Dr. Bauer said. Eichmann, chief Nazi director in the murder of 6, 000, 000 European Jews, is expected to go on trial in Israel in March for his war crimes against the Jewish people.

Another witness being called in his probe in the Globke case, Dr. Bauer said, is Prof. Karl Burkhardt, a Swiss citizen. As representative for the International Red Cross, Dr. Burkhardt, negotiated with the Nazi regime for the transfer of the 10, 000 Salonika Jews to Palestine. Those negotiations were unsuccessful and the Jews were deported to death camps instead.

A third witness being sought by Dr. Bauer is a former officer in the SS, the Hitler Elite Guard in which Eichmann was a colonel. That officer, according to the Attorney General, was in charge of the deportation of Jews from northern Greece. Refusing to reveal the man’s name, “for tactical reasons,” Dr. Bauer said the man had been last known to be living in Syria but had disappeared after the arrest of Eichmann last summer.

Following his career as a prominent law professor under the Nazis, Hallstein became the key architect of the unelected European Commission and, for ten years, its first President. His book, entitled ‘Europe in the Making’, describes how the European Community’s machinery was developed in such a way that “the Commission is entrusted with what virtually amounts to a monopoly in taking the initiative in all matters affecting the Community.” Moreover, giving a prophetic hint of what the Lisbon Treaty would effectively be intended to accomplish almost forty years later, he specifically states that the few exceptions to this rule “ought to be removed at the earliest opportunity,” and that “the Commission should eventually be empowered to take all measures necessary for the implementation of the Treaty on its own authority, without having to rely on special and specific approval by the Council of Ministers.”

Hans Globke – Wikipedia

Hans Josef Maria Globke (10 September 1898 – 13 February 1973) was a German lawyer, high-ranking civil servant and politician who served as Under-Secretary of State and Chief of Staff of the German Chancellery in West Germany from 28 October 1953 to 15 October 1963. During World War II, Globke, a Ministerialdirigent in the Office for Jewish Affairs in the Ministry of the Interior, wrote a legal annotation on the anti-semitic Nuremberg Race Laws that did not express any objection to the discrimination against Jews, and placed the Nazi Party on a firmer legal ground, setting the path to The Holocaust.[1] Globke later had a controversial career as Secretary of State and Chief of Staff of the West German Chancellery.

Όταν ξέσπασε η κρίση το 2010, διηγείται το ντοκιμαντέρ, η τρόικα απαγόρευσε την εισαγωγή νέων φαρμάκων στην ελληνική αγορά και η κυβέρνηση σταμάτησε να πληρώνει τα χρέη της προς τις φαρμακευτικές εταιρείες. Προς τη Novartis είχε χρέος 140 εκατομμύρια € ενώ 10 καινούργια φάρμακα περίμεναν έγκριση. Τότε η Novartis λάνσαρε το «Project Harvard». με αποτέλεσμα τα φάρμακα να εγκριθούν μέσα και σε λίγους μήνες ενώ πληρώθηκε και το χρέος προς την εταιρεία. «Ένα κομμάτι των χρημάτων της δωροδοκίας ερχόταν κατευθείαν από την Βασιλεία (την έδρα της εταιρείας στην Ελβετία)» λέει ένας μάρτυρας, αφήνοντας να εννοηθεί ότι το υπόλοιπο ποσό αντλήθηκε από άλλες παράνομες πρακτικές μέσα στην Ελλάδα.

Τα μέτρα λιτότητας που επιβάλλονται από διεθνείς οικονομικούς οργανισμούς όπως το Διεθνές Νομισματικό προκαλούν συχνές παραβιάσεις ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων, αναφέρει έρευνα του ΟΗΕ από τον ανεξάρτητο ερευνητή του Οργανισμού σε θέματα εξωτερικού χρέους και ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων. «Δεν υπάρχει απόδειξη ότι η δημοσιονομική προσαρμογή βοηθάει την ανάκαμψη, αντιθέτως υπάρχουν πολύ πιο ξεκάθαρες αποδείξεις για τον αρνητικό αντίκτυπο των προγραμμάτων στην ανάπτυξη, τις θέσεις εργασίας, τη βιωσιμότητα του χρέους και την ισότητα» τονίζεται επίσης, στην έκθεση που θα παρουσιαστεί τον Οκτώβριο στη Γενική Συνέλευση του ΟΗΕ στη Γενεύη.

Monika Ertl… η ξεχασμένη επαναστάτρια!

Κι ο “Inti” είχε την ίδια “τύχη” με τον Che. Δολοφονείται κι αυτός από τον βασανιστή Quintanilla Pereira, που φωτογραφίζεται άνετος με το τσιγάρο του δίπλα στο πτώμα του “Inti”.
Τότε η Monika πήρε όρκο με τον εαυτό της να εκδικηθεί τον Che και τον Inti.
Το 1971 περνάει τον Ατλαντικό κι επιστρέφει στη Γερμανία. Εκεί, στο Αμβούργο, έστειλε η χούντα τον βασανιστή και δολοφόνο του Che και του Inti, τον συνταγματάρχη Roberto Quintanilla Pereira για να τον προστατεύσει από την οργή του Φιδέλ που είχε πει: “Τους δολοφόνους του Τσε, τους θέλουν όλοι νεκρούς”.
Κι ενώ έπαιρναν μέτρα προστασίας των δολοφόνων βασανιστών φοβούμενοι τα κομάντο της Κουβανέζικης υπηρεσίας ασφαλείας, η Monika πήρε την εκδίκηση.
Από τον Απρίλη του 1971, μετά την εκτέλεση του δολοφόνου ξεκίνησε ένα ανθρωποκυνηγητό σε όλες τις χώρες του κόσμου για τη σύλληψη της Monika. Κι όμως χωρίς αποτέλεσμα. Ο Régis Debray, ο Γάλλος φίλος του Che και του Μιτεράν, ο Ιταλός Giangiacomo Feltrinelli, τα διεθνή δίκτυα αλληλεγγύης των εθνικοαπελευθερωτικών κινημάτων δεν επέτρεψαν να εντοπιστεί η “άγγελος της εκδίκησης”.

To put the success into perspective, MacLean points to the fact that Henry Manne, whom Buchanan was instrumental in hiring, created legal programs for law professors and federal judges which could boast that by 1990 two of every five sitting federal judges had participated. “40 percent of the U.S. federal judiciary,” writes MacLean, “had been treated to a Koch-backed curriculum.”

MacLean illustrates that in South America, Buchanan was able to first truly set his ideas in motion by helping a bare-knuckles dictatorship ensure the permanence of much of the radical transformation it inflicted on a country that had been a beacon of social progress. The historian emphasizes that Buchanan’s role in the disastrous Pinochet government of Chile has been underestimated partly because unlike Milton Friedman, who advertised his activities, Buchanan had the shrewdness to keep his involvement quiet. With his guidance, the military junta deployed public choice economics in the creation of a new constitution, which required balanced budgets and thereby prevented the government from spending to meet public needs.

Neoliberalism’s triumph also reflects the failure of the left. When laissez-faire economics led to catastrophe in 1929, Keynes devised a comprehensive economic theory to replace it. When Keynesian demand management hit the buffers in the 70s, there was an alternative ready. But when neoliberalism fell apart in 2008 there was … nothing. This is why the zombie walks. The left and centre have produced no new general framework of economic thought for 80 years.

Every invocation of Lord Keynes is an admission of failure. To propose Keynesian solutions to the crises of the 21st century is to ignore three obvious problems. It is hard to mobilise people around old ideas; the flaws exposed in the 70s have not gone away; and, most importantly, they have nothing to say about our gravest predicament: the environmental crisis. Keynesianism works by stimulating consumer demand to promote economic growth. Consumer demand and economic growth are the motors of environmental destruction.

Η Google κατηγορείται ότι χρηματοδοτεί πανεπιστήμια για να υποστηρίζουν τα συμφέροντά της

Εκατομμύρια δολάρια έχει δωρίσει η Google για να «βοηθήσει» το έργο της επιστήμης. Τις αγνές προθέσεις της πανίσχυρης μηχανής αναζήτησης αμφισβητεί το παρατηρητήριο Campaign for Accountability (CfA),το οποίο εδρεύει στις ΗΠΑ.

Τουτέστιν πλήρωνε η Google σε όσους πανεπιστημιακούς δημοσίευσαν έρευνες που ευνοούσαν τα συμφέροντά της και την κυριαρχία της στην αγορά αποκαλύπτει η Wall Street Journal.

Η αμερικανική εφημερίδα φέρνει στο φως ένα δίκτυο καθηγητών σε πανεπιστήμια όπως το Χάρβαρντ και το Μπέρκλεϊ στην Καλιφόρνια, που λάμβαναν χρήματα από την εταιρεία χωρίς, συχνά, να αναφέρουν τις πηγές χρηματοδότησής τους.
